DALLAS CRANE

Dallas Crane have become a not only a lauded constituent of the Australian rock ‘n roll scene, but a trend-proof mainstay that continues to exhilarate audiences wherever they bloody well set foot!

Some referred to them as, ‘Australia’s hardest working band’, playing their guts out to anyone who’d listen, in which most cases was a packed out pub anywhere around Australia. They gave everything every time you saw them; no microphone left un-scolded, no denim jacket left un-soaked and no audience left anything other than completely satisfied with what they had just witnessed for the last hour and a bit. Even You Am I’s Tim Rogers had them down as his favorite band, immortalising them in their song Who Put The Devil In You?

SPOONFUL

A long established rockin' rhythm & blues band based around highly regarded Melbourne musicians. Andre Warhurst and his brother, Kit, exude the unmistakable air of lifelong rockers. With their classic '60s mops and jackets, in the dim light you can almost imagine you’ve bumped into half the Kinks or the Faces. With their sound wholeheartedly embracing rhythm and blues, soul and rock’n’roll. Spoonful, featuring; Paul Winstanley on Bass, David Lord on Keys/Vocals/Harp and brothers Andre and Kit Warhurst on guitar/vocals and drums/vocals respectively, now mine their wealth of collective experience to create something that is uniquely their own and much loved by their legion of fans.

Formed originally as a fun, party offshoot of Manic Suede in the early 90’s, Spoonful happily ticked along in the background while members concentrated their individual efforts on various related and unrelated projects. Andre fronted Silver Night Drive, accepted numerous “guitar slinger” adventures, played slide guitar on Jet’s debut record and collaborated with Kram on the Spiderbait frontman’s solo project. Tellingly, several years ago Andre knocked back an offer of a stint in Jimmy Barnes’s band to instead “do my own thing” (He’s still deciding if that was smart or not.) Kit is part of seminal Melbourne band Rocket Science as well as being music composer/producer for various film/TV projects and Dave played keys in The Rectifiers. Paul moonlights as a fireman so he’s often distracted by the need to save random peoples’ lives.

MICK DALEY & THE CORPORATE RAIDERS

Mick Daley's Corporate Raiders, paranoid purveyors of hangover rock, play the Ballarat Beer festival.

The Corporate Raiders are pillaged from a spectrum of alt-country and alt-rock bands. Frontman Mick Daley is founding member of northern NSW country rock and roll outfit The Re-Mains, who toured every rodeo and inner city dive in Australia, made three massive tours of Canada and a successful run through Europe.

Drummer Scotty Dog Bennett, once a Re-Main, now steers Melbourne outfits including Shaky Stills and the Michael Meeking band. Bassplayer Sam Fiddian was a member of alt-country darlings Downhills Home, plays with Cold Irons Bound and guests with all kinds of luminaries.  Mark McCartney has been a guitar for hire with Mick Thomas, Crawfish Dave, Jo Meares, and John Dowler’s Vanity project.

The Raiders play all over rural Victoria, South Australia and Melbourne and have toured as far afield as the North Coast National in the Northern Rivers of NSW. They’re releasing a vinyl single post-lockdown and putting the finishing touches to an album begun pre-lockdown.

BLUES ROULETTE FEATURING KELLY AUTY

Blues Roulette has become a Melbourne Blues institution. After four years at The Catfish, it has established itself as your only call Wednesday night blues hang.

A house band "Ben Wicks" and “Johnny Tesoreiro" are kept on their toes by a new guest each and every show. No charts, no rehearsal, no safety net, just the blues!

A child of the outback and a 'Kimberley dreamer', Kelly Auty is first, and foremost, an entertainer. Living now in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, she has a reputation as an energetic singing and songwriting dynamo. Renowned as a powerful vocalist and an inspiring performer, she delivers outstanding shows in her distinctive style.

Kelly is equally impressive across Blues, Gospel, R&B, Soul, Rock, Country and French Chanson genres. For those who have seen and heard Kelly perform live, the passion and power of her recorded work will come as no surprise. Kelly's work can only be described as honest and heartfelt, earthy and inspiring. As an independent artist, Kelly not only manages her own career, she also manages and features other creative musicians, composers and producers.

With over 40 years experience in the music industry, nine (9) independent albums under her belt, Kelly is also a faultless senior event manager and caring teacher. Ultimately, Kelly Auty is a multi-talented entertainer.

MICHAEL MEEKING BAND

During his celebrated musical career, Michael Meeking has shared the stage with Mick Thomas, Boom Crash Opera, Tim Rogers, Nick Barker, Mia Dyson and Glen Tilbrook. Michael has enjoyed regular radio airplay from stations around the country including 3RRR, 3PBS, Double J and ABC radio. Regularly shortlisted for the Australian songwriter’s award his music is filled with soulful alt-country roots rock with chiming guitars, strong upbeat melodies and big choruses. Michael has released 3 solo albums and 3 albums with his band the Lost Souls.

A new album is due to be released in mid 2023

“Not only a gifted songwriter and performer, the hard-working Michael is one of the genuinely decent people floating around in this thing called the music industry” – Neil Rogers, Triple R

Americana UK declared that Michael has “The rock swagger of The Faces, only more refined and performed better.”

UK’s Maverick Magazine said of Michael’s album ‘Ride On’: “It’s a bit like listening to your favourite bits of your entire record collection in just 40 minutes.”

The Music’s Jeff Jenkins stated: “The Meeking might not inherit the earth, but he will impress

LIBBY STEELE

Surf Coast singer-songwriter Libby Steel is known for her strong, soulful vocals and explosive live set. Her band have performed across the country, supporting acts including San Cisco, Harts and ALLDAY.

Steel rose to prominence in 2018 after winning the Triple J Unearthed competition to open Queenscliff Music Festival, and went on to play on St Kilda Festivals Best New Music stage.
